Showcase and Speed Pitching event at the UKJFF

Join the UK Jewish Film Festival, NFTS and Rushes Soho Shorts for a special Showcase and Speed Pitching Event, and find out how you might get £10,000 to make your own short film.

Each year the Pears Short Film Fund at UK Jewish Film offers two filmmakers £10,000 to make a short film that has a Jewish theme or relevance to both a Jewish and a broader audience. Join Nik Powell, Head of NFTS, Joe Bateman, Director of Rushes Soho Shorts, NFTS tutor Asher Tlalim and UK Jewish Film Executive Director Judy Ironside at Soho House as they explore the importance of short film to filmmaking careers. Screening the Oscar-nominated short recently funded by the Pears Short Film Fund, attendees will get the opportunity to pitch and discuss ideas with the panel, giving a unique insight into how to create a successful idea for a short film, and giving them a unique insight into how to gain a major career boost with the Pears Short Film Fund.
