Film, 2k, 4k HD? The future of digital film made clear

The issues around working digitally will be debated at Beyond HD – a two day film and TV conference on 26th and 27th Feb 2010 being held at Ravensbourne, funded by the Skillset Film Fund, as part of the UK Film Skills Strategy A Bigger Future 2.

“At Beyond HD you will go beyond just a technical discussion of HD, 2K and 4K resolutions in digital film. You will hear from leading industry professionals how they go Beyond HD in creative terms.  How can we explore these formats creatively in the 21st century as we did with film in the 20th ?” James Uren, Chair, Beyond HD

Beyond HD will host seminars, panels and hands-on workshops run by industry professionals including award winning DP Gavin Finney BSC, Director and Producer Bruce Webb, Head of Post at Lypsinc Kevin Phelan and Cinematographer Tim Palmer. There are also contributors such as The Foundry who will introduce their new product STORM which assists RED Digital Camera workflows. Full programme and speaker details can be found at www.rave.ac.uk/beyondhd
